Ramanchuk: The European Union will not give us money because it is not a lending agency
An economist Yaraslau Ramanchuk has informed ERB that the EU’s credit the Belarusian Ministry of Finance is asking for will not save our country.
According to Ramanchuk, Belarus will not receive money from the European Union. First of all, the EU gives no credits:
Yaraslau Ramanchuk: “I do not think that the EU will give us a credit because it is not a lending agency. As the saying goes, we are knocking at the wrong door. If you need a credit, you should ask for it in a bank or some lending agencies”.
According to the economist, the Belarusian authorities and enterprises have already taken a lot of credits: they will have to pay 8 billion dollars this year. The authorities do not know where to get the money from and are asking everyone they can.
More details will be available on ERB’s website soon
