Andrei Mezin may continue his career in a Belarusian club
The famous goalkeeper of the Belarusian national team got into the sphere of interests of several clubs of Belarus Open Championship.
This has been informed by the web-site belarushockey.com. The precise names of the clubs are
unknown yet. However, Andrei confirmed there were negotiations of the kind.
However, the goalkeeper underlined these were just negotiations.
Let
us remind you, "Dynama" Minsk stated recently that they refused from
the goalkeeper's services. The reason for that was the situation at this year’s
World Cup when Mezin left his team without a warning.
However,
it was decided to refuse from goalkeepers-legionaries in the Belarus Open
Championship at the last session of the Belarusian Ice Hockey Federation's
executive committee. As a result, three clubs from the top-5 were left without
their key goalkeepers - "Nyoman" (they planned Slovenian Andrej
Hočevar), "Homel" (Finnish Pasi
Häkkinen) and "Shakhtar" (Sweden Daniel
Jonsson Sperrle).
