BAJ chairperson Zhanna Litvina is removed from travel ban list
The information has been presented by the Migration and Citizenship Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to it, "technical issues caused bugs in the data bank" in the period between February 24 and Match 10. As a result, Litvina was added on the travel ban list. The chairperson of the Belarusian Association of Journalists thinks that the reason is far-fetched and that it was a political decision. The Department of Citizenship and Migration has apologized to Zhanna Litvina for "the misunderstanding' that prevented her from going abroad for several months.
Litvina has informed Euroradio:
"I will try to leave the country in the near future. Then I will be able to confirm whether I have been removed from the travel ban list".
By the way, Zhanna Litvina has received a letter from the Ministry of Justice. As we know, the reason why she was not allowed to go abroad was the fact that the Ministry of Justice considered her to be "a debtor in a bankruptcy case". Now the Ministry of Justice has informed that no courts and justice bodies have ever taken the decision to restrict Litvina's right to leave the country.
