Belarusian driver sentenced to 9 years of imprisonment in Poland
The man got such sentence because he had provoked an accident being under the influence of alcohol, on the truck.
The accident took place in the town of
Minsk Mazowiecki on April 21 resulted in death of 3 people and severe injuries
of 2 more people. According to the information provided by the web-site wprost.pl, the Belarusian did not stop on the red lights,
hit the car which was standing on the road and ran over a 18-year-old youngster
at the pedestrian walk.
Besides, the
Belarusian tried to escape after the accident. The police detained him only in
a kilometer and a half from the accident site. Probably, he simply couldn't go
any farther because the car was damaged in the accident. It turned out that the
man was drunk.
Initially he faced
up to 12 years of imprisonment.
