Body of Minsker who killed policeman and committed suicide is cremated
Mikalai P.'s ex-colleagues have told Euroradio about it.
The coffin was delivered to the crematorium right from the morgue. Only relatives attended the funeral.
59-year-old Mikalai P. killed one policeman and injured another on January 8. They arrived because his neighbors had called the police. The conversation was quiet until one of them asked Mikalai to follow them. He put out a gun and started shooting. Then he hid in the garage and shot himself in the head from a rifle.
Mikalai P.'s colleagues and neighbors are shocked - he was a calm and quiet man. He used to be a metalworker at the depot and started his own business a few years ago - he repaired a car. A revolver, a gun and cartridges have been found in his garage.
The killed 37-year-old policemen, Ihar Ivanchyk, has been buried in Minsk today. He had a wife and a son. He will be awarded for heroism and bravery, BelTA reports. The policeman's relatives, police administration, head of Minsk City Executive Committee Mikalai Ladutska, numerous colleagues and MPs attended the ceremony.
