Congress in Helsinki confirms Minsk as place for Ice Hockey World Cup-2014
The IIHF Congress continues in Helsinki of Friday.
Despite the appeals of the international human rights organizations, the European Parliament, European and Belarusian politicians, the elite ice hockey world cup 2014 will take place in Belarus, BelaPAN informs.
The appeals to move the event from our country first appeared soon after the presidential election of December 19, 2010. Let us remind you, there was a brutal dispersal of a mass manifestation in Minsk, hundreds of people were detained, including the majority of presidential candidates.
