Ex-director of “Pinskdrev” Laran Arynich detained in Poland
It happened when the Belarusian Interpol contacted the Polish police, reports the Polish Press Agency.
Let us remind you that an explosion occurred at the factory “Pinskdrev” on October 25. 14 people were killed and 21 workers recived various injuries.
Policemen informed that Laran Arynich was receiving medical treatment in Poland at first. However, he was announced wanted in autumn 2011. It was stated that the Offices of the General Prosecutor of Belarus and Poland would have to take a decision about his extradition if he did not come back on his own.
The ex-director of “Pinskdrev” was deprived of the title of an honorary citizen of Pinsk in September 2011. The reason for it was the fact that Arynich had fled from investigators and was wanted. This, he discredited himself together with his honorary title.
