Head of BRYU meets with head of Council of Europe?
Ihar Buzouski, not been "blacklisted" by the EU, visited Strasbourg.
The newspaper "Belaruskaya Niva" writes that he took part in the seminar for young parliamentaries and youth leaders under the auspieces of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. The BRYU's representatives were never admitted to such events before.
Buzouski says that he managed to talk to the new head of the Council of Europe Jean-Claude Mignon personally, behind the scenes. The BRYU's head asked how the relations between the EU and Belarus should develop after his election. According to Buzouski, Mignon stands for the dialogue.
Apart from that, the BRYU's head says, he was told in the Youth Secretariat of the Council of Europe that Belarus was one of the leaders in terms of reasonable youth policy among the CIS countries.
