Italy grants visa to “blacklisted” BSU rector
According to “Belarusian Partisan”, Syarhei Ablameika is planning to leave for Italy on a business trip on August 18.
Meanwhile, he is on the European Union’s list of personae non gratae. The reason for it is the fact that students get expelled from the university because of their political views.
Ablameika's visit may result in a scandal connected with the lack of coordination in officials’ actions in different EU structures as regards Belarus and Belarusian citizens. It may also demonstrate the inefficiency of the sanctions imposed by the European Union on the Belarusian regime.
