Komsomolskaya Pravda journalist detained at polling station
Dzmitry Lasko was at polling station #704 (Partyzanski electoral district, Minsk). The policeman demanded that the pictures taken at the station be deleted.
The detained journalist's colleague, Komsomolskaya Pravda correspondent Iryna Kozlik, announced the information about the incident at the CEC press-conference on September 23. The CEC Secretary Mikalaj Lazavik noted that the Electoral Code stipulates the right for journalists to take pictures at polling stations.
The newspaper's employees informed BAJ that Dzmitry Lasko was released right after the question about his detention was asked at the press-conference, reports spring96.org.
