Latvia discusses compensation for EU sanctions against Belarus
Alfred Cepanis, head of the Association for support of Latvia-Belarus economic ties, was the first person to have mentioned it.
According to him, the European Union’s economic sanctions imposed on Belarus will cause “unavoidable losses” to Latvia, they will affect the import and export and the transit business. That is why Cepanis has suggested asking the EU for a compensation of at least 1 billion euro, informs the website delfi.lv.
