Lukashenka: Energy sector a mafia-style 'state within the state'
The Belarus president slams the energy industry over increased electricity bills
Powermen have created their own state within a state, some independent “mafioso-like” organization or band, BELTA reports. Lukashenka claimed it at a meeting dedicated to the development of the energy sector on April 16.
The increase of gas and electricity tariffs was discussed there. The tariffs can incase only together with the increase of the population's incomes, Lukashenka noted. The income growth should be ahead of the price growth.
