Minsk to become one of world's ten cleanest cities by 2014?
Head of the natural resources and environmental protection committee of Minsk city executive office Alyaksandr Baravikou has made such prognosis.
Baravikou: "We are on the 5-6 place in the world with regard to the quality of air, 8-9 - with regard to surface waters, and we are among the best three with regard to maintenance and cleanness. We only need to solve the problem of the secondary resources, to use renewable sources, drinking water, and underground waters more. Then we will get into the top ten cleanest cities of the world".
Let us remind you, the ice hockey world cup should take place in MInsk in 2014.
