Scientists warn on global flood
The world ocean's level is rising much faster that it was forecasted before, German scientists say.
Inhabitants
of the lowland coastal areas all over the world may soon come across the flood
threat, the ВВС reports the scientists' forecast.
Scientists of Potsdam Institute of Climate Changes stated that the world ocean
level grew by 3,2 mm per year in average during the last 20 years. This is 60%
faster than the UN experts thought before.
The climate experts' report also states that the average world air temperature
grew in total correspondence with the UN prognosis. This beats the skeptics who
say that the global warming threat is exaggerated.
