Students to study 4 years instead of 5 since September
The majority of Belarusian higher educational establishments will switch to the new educational system since September 2012.
Minister of Education Syarhei Maskevich has told this in an interview to BELTA. According to him, last year the state leader set a task to analyze the so-called social-humanitarian block and to eliminate dubbing of the school program by the university program.
The new concept of teaching of the social-humanitarian block has already been approved. It prescribes less auditory hours and more independent work for the students. All recommendations for the concept have already been prepared.
