Lukashenka dismisses notorious judge
Volha Komar, on EU travel-ban list, is relieved of duties as per president's decree of January 14.

Working as a judge at Minsk's Frunzenski District Court, Komar became infamouse for "political" trials. In 2011, she presided the
first trial of December 19, 2010 protesters case, sentening Vasil Parfyankou to 4 years in a high-security prison. Komar is also remembered for the
trials of civil activist Pavel Staneuski and HR defender Pavel Levinau. They were sentenced to administrative arrests for allegedly swearing in
public places.
Volha Komar is banned from entering the EU member states.
