UN Human Rights Committee reminds Belarus about Uladzislau Kavalyou
The committee expects to receive information about measures taken in connection with the decision taken in Uladzislau Kavalyou's case by July 3.
The executed Vitsebsker's mother, Lyubou Kavalyova, has received the notice from the Office of the High Commissioner, human rights website "Viasna" reports.
According to the decision taken by the UN Human Rights Committee, Belarus must admit that Kavalyou's rights for life and defence, presumption of innocence and fair trial were violated and the court's decision should be revised.
Kavalyou and Kanavalau were returned guilty of the terrorist act in Minsk metro in 2011 and were shot later.
