Russian Ministry of Defense promises to never wage war on Ukraine
Russia does not even consider a purely theoretical possibility of such a conflict.
Russia will never wage war on Ukraine because it is not an enemy, deputy Minister of Defense Anatoliy Antonov told Komsomolskaya Pravda.
There is no theoretical possibility of a military conflict between Russia and Ukraine, he noted. “I also think that Kiev is wise enough not to provoke us,” the military official added. He is hoping that France and Germany will persuade Kiev not to resume military activities in Donets Basin.
Antonov also mentioned NATO. There are no joint Russia-NATO projects anymore, he said. He described Brussels’ behaviour as unfriendly: “They have stopped giving us visas and won’t let our representatives enter their headquarters anymore.”
Russia’ allies are CSTO member states – Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, he the Russian deputy Minister of Defense said.
