Sad fate of Belarus's heritage (in pictures)
Journalists from independent media spent three days traveling across the Minsk and Vitsebsk region. The press tour was organized by the Belarusian Association of Journalist in the framework of the media campaign "Journalists for Historical Heritage". The journalists aimed to expore the condition of architecture monuments in the remote areas of this country. Please take a look at the photo report from the European Radio for Belarus.
1. St Mary Cathedral, built in 1790-1809 in the village of Zembin.
2. 500 meters off, an Orthodox Christian church is nearly in a similar condition.
3. The remains of All Saints Church built in 1877-1886 in Byahoml.
4. Savior Efrosinya monastery
5. A XVIII-century cathedral in Hlybokaye
6. This is the only church that has survived since 1639.
