Sergei Babkin to release “Motor”
Sergei Babkin of the 5nizza duet, also widely acknowledged across the post-Soviet space as a solo singer, is set to release a new album titled “Motor”.
The CD, recorded with the help a greater number of musicians than in the previous album, is performed in a genre, describe by the authors as “a documentary psychological thriller with some elements of cordial pornography from “All the Truth About…” series.
14 songs on the CD can symbolically be divided into two categories: “Surprising” and “Understandable”. Even the author himself cannot explain the “surprising” songs, while the “understandable” do not require explanation by default.
When describing a tune style of the album, one could name it as something ranging from retro-ragtime to art-rock. The CD’s release is scheduled for early March.
