Singer Ruslana threatens with self-immolation at Maidan
She has been taking part in the protest actions in the Ukrainian capital since the very beginning.
She will be ready to commit suicide if the protests yield no results, Ruslana claimed in Maidan Nezalezhnosti, korrespondent.net reports. She urged people to stick together and not to back off.
"I will burn myself at this Maidan if there are no changes. I have made the decision,” the singer claimed.
Ruslana Lyzhychko is 40 years old. She became famous after her victory at Eurovision-2004. She became a national artist of Ukraine after that.
Participants of the protest actions in Ukraine demand the government’s resignation, early parliamentary and presidential elections and urge to sign an association agreement with the EU.
