Emergency Ministry: Smoke at "Uskhod" metro station is not exercise

Navitski: "The Ministry for Emergency Situations got the message about the smoke at "Uskhod" metro station. All our units arrived there, they are working at the site right now. The personnel of the station evacuated all the people.

Spokesman for Minsk City Administration of Rescuers Vital Dembouski has informed via Twitter there was a short circuit in the electric power panel in the tunnel located several meters away from the "Uskhod" station. According to Dembouski, the smoke is not thick.

According to the media, the movement at the first metro line has been stopped.

Special policemen do not admit anyone to "Kastrychnitskaya", "Autazavodzkaya" and "Uskhod"  metro stations.

Ambulance vehicles go along the Independence Avenue. Rescuers' cars are gathering near "Uskhod" metro station. The Ministry for Emergency Situations' Twitter informs there was an alarm message about the smoke at the station. The people have been evacuated from the metro, rescuers are arriving.
