Soccer Federation sacks Referee Committee leaders
The executive board of the
Belarusian Soccer Federation (BSF) has sacked the chairman and deputy chairman
of the Referee Committee following the life suspension of a referee for
appearing heavily drunk on the pitch.
Mikhail Arkhipau was named
acting chairman after the dismissal of Aleh Chykun, chairman of the Committee,
and Yury Dupanau, deputy chairman, Pressbol reported.
A blood test proved that Syarhey
Shmolik, 43, was heavily drunk while officiating the July 5 game between Vitsyebsk and
Naftan as part of the 13th round of the national championship.
