Street disorders in Athens at night (video)
Dozens of thousands people went out to the streets in Athens on the night of May 8. They protested against the government’s anti-crisis measures. Deputies had approved the decision to cut down wages and pensions the day before. People kept breaking showcases and setting fire to garbage. The police had to use tear-gas to disperse the demonstrators.
