Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, a prominent figure in Belarus, has made a significant appeal to her fellow citizens. This appeal coincides with the second anniversary of the war in Ukraine, adding a poignant context to her message.

The democratic leader's appeal was broadcast from many screens across the country, including screens installed in large squares and supermarkets.

One of the key messages in her appeal was a call to action. She urged Belarusians to stand up against what she deemed as unlawful elections, a powerful statement that resonated with many.

Meanwhile, the CEC said that a third of the electorate had already voted in the early elections. This is the data for the evening of 23 February, when only the fourth day of early voting had ended.

A total of 6.913 million people were on the electoral lists, which means that more than 2 million Belarusians had already voted.

The highest turnout was recorded in the Homiel region and the lowest in the Minsk and Hrodna regions and Minsk.
