Ukrainian frontier guards detain Belarusian “amber” car
A Belarusian car was detained by Ukrainian frontier guards in Rovensk Region. A 42-year-old inhabitant of Brest Region tried to import more than 27 kilos of Ukrainian amber to Belarus.
The semiprecious stones were hidden under the back seat and under the front bumper of the Opel. The contraband has been confiscated from the Belarusian and sent to the Ukrainian customs office.
According to a broadcasting company magnolia-tv, frontier guards were “informed” about the contraband and had no problem detaining the smuggler.
