Vice PM: Bakiyevs finance Kyrgyz extremists
Kyrgyz vice PM Shamil Atakhanov claims the Bakiyev brothers fund extremist groups in their home country
The Kyrghyz government will continue trying to extradite Kurmanbek Bakiyev and his younger brother Janish Bakiyev under the ruling of the Military Court, gezitter.org reports.
The reason for the extradition is the court’s decision and international acts, the vice PM says. It was impossible to discuss it with Belarus before. However, the working group that conducted negotiations in Belarus has returned. They have found out that there are documents allowing Janysh Bakiyev to stay in Russia and the Baltic states. The brothers live in Minsk now.
The Bakiyevs also finance some actions in Kyrgyzstan, Atakhanov said. In particular, the family financed extremist groups, he noted.
