14-year-old girl detained for graffiti on Palace of Republic in Minsk
A riot police patrol on Friday grabbed a teen female 'hooligan' in Kastrycnickaja Plosca in downtown Minsk.
The official news agency BELTA reports the girl "was putting black paint on the marble basement of the Palace of the Republic." The agency does not elaborate on the essence of the graffiti, but stresses "they made no sense."
Since the girl is only fourteen years old, it is her parents - not herself - to be subjected to administrative punishment. They are likely to cover the costs of repairs - probably a costly deal.
