14:21 European Radio "clears" Kaldun from army service
Belarus's Eurovision hopeful Dzmitry Kaldun has failed to turn up at a military conscription office where he was officially summoned for the draft. The European Radio for Belarus called the artiste to find out when he was set to go there.
Dzmitry Kaldun: “I will go there when I have time. Unfortunately, I do not have a free time”.
The European Radio for Belarus decided to assist Dzmitry in this case and agreed with Major Valery Shulgin, a draft office chief, to postpone the singer's showing at the conscription office.
Major Valery Shulgin: “Let's agree on the date and I will put his documents aside. The Eurovision contest takes place in late May. No problems. I will take a note, and then we will sort it out later. Let's get him schedulef for June 15. I will even have an oportunity then to congratulate him with his victory”.
