9-year-old schoolgirl dies of meningitis in Pinsk

Pinsk doctors have confirmed the tragic incident to ERB. According to local inhabitants, the people who contacted with the girl have gone through a medical check-up. Pupils of the class where there girl studied have been moved to a separate class-room. ERB has not managed to talk to the chief physician of Pinsk Children’s Hospital: the doctor and his deputies were at a meeting.

This is the first case of meningococcal infection registered in the city this year. The illness is dangerous because its symptoms resemble ordinary cold. However, if the necessary measures are not taken, the illness progresses instantly and it is almost impossible to save the patient.
