Alcohol sales down in January in Belarus

Belarus has reported a drop in alcohol sales by 4.6 percent in January 2010 against the same period the year before. It has continued a negative trend from October, November and December 2009. According to the Belarus Statistics Agency (Bestat), alcohol accounted for 12.6 percent of the total retail sales in January 2010 (Br427.9 billion).
