Ales Zarembyuk detained while leaving Ashmyany

A deputy contender Ales Zarembyuk has been detained by a policeman Uladzimir Mazheika while leaving Ashmyany. Zarembyuk was returned to Masty from Minsk. Driving inspectors knew that Ales was on his way home and waited for him. Let us remind you that the flat belonging to Zarembyuk’s parents has been searched today. KGB informed the opposition member’s parents that a criminal case has been started against Ales according to the article “Swindle”. They said the guy had borrowed money from somebody and did not give it back.

Zarembyuk’s flat is also going to be searched. KGB members are bringing his wife there now.

Zarembyuk thinks that the pressure is connected with his participation in the local elections. He is running for Masty District and Hrodna Region Councils of Deputies.
