Andrei Sannikau’s government is ready
A presidential candidate Andrei Sannikau has already created a government that will get down to work if he is elected. Mr. Sannikau claimed it at a meeting with electors in Brest. Sannikau: “I can tell you that I already have a list of members of the government. They are people known for participation in the democratic movement and current officials. I will not reveal any names”.
Probably, one of them was a member of the presidium. It is Pavel Kazlouski who used to be the Belarusian Minister of Defense before Lukashenka’s election.
Andrei Sannikau said that he would preserve strong influence in order to carry out reforms and gradually transform the state into a parliamentary republic is he was elected.
At the same time he stressed that he could see nothing that could be called the current President’s merit in the situation and compared him to the former Slovakian President Mečiar.
More than half a thousand people came to the meeting in the Palace of Culture of Trade Unions. It was organized as a series of questions and lasted for an hour and a half.
