Anonymous alcoholics stage carnival in Lida

Anonymous alcoholics have staged a carnival in the Belarusian city of Lida, Hrodna region. ERB's correspondent Syarhey Apanovich reports that representatives from Hrodna, Minsk, Brest, Schuchyn, Vaukavysk and even from the neighboring Lithuania took part in the event. 50 participants had a masquerade show, with the live music being played and knights fighting mock battles.

There are two active groups of anomynous alcoholics in Lida. Seimilar groups also operate in Shchuchyn, Dzitlava, Vaukavysk, Byarozauka, Astravets and Smarhon. The largest group is registered in the regional center, Hrodna.
