Are Breus and Haponau used to press Moscow?
Minsk is trying to convince the EU that Moscow is connected with organization of the opposition action on December 19 by criminal harassment against 2 Russians.
The Russian newspaper "Commersant" published such an opinion of some Belarusian analysts. In particular, the former deputy of the Belarusian Parliament Volha Abramava explained to the newspaper, that Aliaksandr Lukashenka was trying to use the detained Russians Artsiom Breus and Ivan Haponau as a card in his game with Moscow. However, to Abramava's opinion, the destiny of Russians, accused of participation in the mass disturbances, is not likely to force Moscow to be more yielding in the dialogue with Minsk.
The Deputy Editor-in-Chief of "Belgazeta" Victar Martsinovich thinks that Minsk needs Breus and Haponau to confirm participation of Russian special services in the organization of the opposition protests on December 19.
