Belarus announces tender for nuclear power plant equipment purchase
The main requirement is safety, durability and reliability. There are two potential suppliers at the moment – Russia and France, reports the ONT channel.
Belarus will cooperate with the country that will fulfill the requirements better. The reactor of the Belarusian nuclear power plant should be durable and have all the modern safety levels.
During this tender Belarus will not stick to only one state when purchasing different all kinds of equipment.
The reactor may be bought in one country while the periphery may be supplied by others. Furthermore, a state department responsible for the safety of the nuclear power plant is being created now.
As it was informed, Lithuanian specialists may become members of this department after Ignalisnk nuclear power plant is closed down.
