Belarus crew files application for Dakar'2008 rally
Belarus has filed an application seeking to take part in the Dakar-2008 rally. According to Danila Dolmatov, the spokesman for the Belarusian Automobile Federation, the organizers are accepting applications within six weeks. The names of those who will be cleared to start are to be announced in early July.
Dakar-2008 will take off on January 5 in Lisbon and finish on January 20 near the Rosy Lake. The route will be the most difficult one in the history of the rally. The Belarusian crew of Siargej Shkel and Aliaksandr Inus made a debut at the Dakar-2007, finishing at the 105th position.
