Belarus Foreign Ministry lifts restriction on US embassy staff in Minsk

On 4 March, Belarusian Foreign Minister Uladzimir Makei met with a U.S. delegation headed by George Kent who currently serves as Deputy Assistant Secretary in the European and Eurasian Bureau at the U.S. Department, Belarus MFA said in a statement.
During the meeting, Belarusian officials lifted a decade-long restriction on the number of U.S. diplomats allowed at the embassy in Minsk. Uladzimir Makei expressed hope that this step would contribute to the further normalization of relations between Belarus and the United States.
