Belarus, Poland sign trans-border movement agreement

Belarus and Poland today in Warsaw signed a document which envisages an easier and cheaper procedures for crossing the border than under the Schengen regulations. The simplified procedures will apply to residents 30 km off to the each side of the border. This agreement, yet to be ratified by the parliaments of the two countries, will allow citizens of Belarus and Poland to save time and money when traveling across the border. They will only have to obtain the so called MRGs (special permits) from the consular offices in Bialystok, Brest and Hrodna. The permits will costs 20 euros and be valid for 2-5 years.
