Belarus’ supplies of apples to Russia exceed harvest by 5 times
Belarus exported 573 tons of apples and mushrooms to Russia in 2015, Russian deputy prosecutor general Vladimir Malinovski reported at a joint meeting of the two states’ Attorney General's Offices.
"Goods that are banned in Russia are often supplied from Belarus without the necessary sanitary certificates. For example, Belarus exported 573 tons of appeals and mushrooms to Russia in 2015. According to the Belarusian Ministry of Agriculture, it exceeds the country’s harvest by 5 times,” the deputy prosecutor general expressed his indignation.
The problem is getting aggravated because there is no sanitary control at Belarus-Russia border, TASS quotes the official.
The cooperation between the Union State’s law-enforcement authorities and the increase of customs supervision were discussed at the meeting.
