Belarus to supply pork to Russia only after heat treatment
Russia may resume supplies from some Belarusian meat-packing plants on December 11.
The certification of pork supplies to Russia was suspended on December 10. The decision was made by the Belarusian Ministry of Agriculture and Nutrition, RIA Novosti refers to the Russian Agricultural Inspectorate.
Our country has stopped the supplies of pork that has not undergone heat treatment at +72 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes.
The products of more than 20 Belarusian enterprises are forbidden in Russia now. The reason for it is the presence of the genome of the African swine fever and antibiotics in the meat and microbiological contamination. Belarus and Russia have started joint check-ups at a number of enterprises.
Russia may resume the import from some Belarusian enterprises on December 11, assistant to the head of eth Russian Agricultural Committee Aleksei Alekseyenko said on Wednesday. The official did not specify the number or names of the enterprises.
