Belarus takes time recognizing Kosovo
The press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Andrei Savinyh has informed ERB that our country’s position has not changed.
Savinyh: “We state that the court has not assessed Kosovo’s right for unilateral separation. In connection with it Belarus sticks to its previous opinion that the problem of Kosovo should be solved on the basis of all the interested sides with the assistance of the UN Security Council”.
Let us remind you that the International Court of Justice in the Hague pronounced a consultary response that the fact that Kosovo had announced its independence in 2008 did not contradict to the standards of international law.
