Belarus will not get trade preferences back before 2009
EU trade preferences will not be given back to Belarus this year.
According to the deputy Minster of Foreign Affaires of our country Andrei Yaudochanka, the preferences of the European Commission may be returned only in 2009 “at best”. He explained that a procedure of coordination was necessary for it.
Let us remind you that Belarus was deprived of preferences or customs facilities in June 2007. Our country was penalized for violation of the rights of trade unions. Burma used to be the only country deprived of EU trade preferences.
