Belarusian imprisoned for 5 years for a car accident in Poland (video)
Three people died and five were injured in a car accident in November 2012.
On June 24, the court sentenced a Belarusian driver to 5 years of imprisonment and 10-years ban to drive, the Polish media inform. The prosecutor demanded the same punishment. The accused admitted guilt and asked to imprison him for 4 years.
As Euroradio informed before, the Belarusian truck driver at the road near Bialystock moved to the wrong lane due to unknown reasons. This caused collision of 6 cars, 4 of which were trucks. The national road was blocked for nearly 7 hours because of the accident. Multi-kilometer jams appeared in the end.
During the accident, the 37-years-old Belarusian got only an arm fracture. The video was made by a camera of one of the cars.
