Belarusian journalist Volha Birukova has applied for a political asylum in UK, but more details are yet to be revealed, according to Radio Svaboda.
Birukova claims her life is under threat if in Belarus.
She wrote for the independent newspaper Belarusians and Market, covering finances and world markets. Volha also cooperated with BBC filming crews.
