Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs approves Poland's visa initiative
The press-secretary of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Andrej Savinykh has called Poland's decision to provide free national visas for up to 90 days of stay within half a year to Belarusian citizens a step "in the right direction". Alongside with that, he underlined that only the citizens who would confirm that their stay in Poland for such a long term was resonable would get such visas. "Thus, not all the citizens will be able to use this opportunity", — said Savinykh.
The press-secretary failed to mention that this "opportunity" would be unavailable for those Belarusians whom the Polish side would consider connected with the political repressions committed after December 19.
He only reminded that Belarus had always stood for simplification of visa formalities with tregard to the EU countries.
