Cameron urges EU to expand sanctions against Russian defence industry
British PM David Cameron stands for expanding sanctions against Russia in response to its actions in Ukraine.
He is going to put pressure on the European Union to make it happen. RIA Novosti notes that the sanctions mean a series of obstacles for the export of military equipment as well as restrictive measures against the persons and companies that render material support to the terrorists in eastern Ukraine.
Yesterday there was a telephone conversation between David Cameron and Russia's president Vladimir Putin. The British PM said that in case Russia wants to "put the burden of guilt onto the others" for the civilian plane shot down over Ukraine (almost 300 victims), it should provide convincible and true proofs. By now, the proofs show that the plane was shot down by the pro-Russian militants.
Russia's President asked not to make "politicized" statements before the end of the investigation of circumstances of the Malaysian Airlines Boeing 777 crash.
