Common presidential contender election campaign to start soon
The election campaign of a common presidential contender of the UDF will start on June 1. The decision has been taken by the presidium of the United Democratic Forces today, on May 27.
The registration of candidates for the position of the so-called “common candidate” is planned to take place from September 1, 2009 till March 1, 2010. The whole process will finish after the UDF Congress where one candidate will be chosen out of two persons who will get more votes in the first round. It is planned for March 2010.
“The UDF presidium would like us to choose one candidate to represent the democratic forces. We are suggesting to start a discussion and work out the procedure”, - noted Anatol Lyabedzka in an interview with ERB.
