Education Code to forbid parties and religious organizations in higher educational institutions

The project of the Education Code imposes a ban on activities of political parties and religious organizations in higher educational institutions. The head of the commission for education, culture, science and technical and scientific progress of the House of Representatives Uladzimir Zdanovich has informed about it.
"Higher education will remain secular in Belarus”, - informs BelaPAN quoting the deputy.

At the same time Zdanovich reminded that the Theology Institute of Kirill and Mefodiy existed in BSU. “We will have to wink at it or mention it in the Code separately”, - he said.

The project of the Education Code is being prepared to be discussed in the second reading in the House of Representatives.
