Elections in Chyst could be recognized illegitimate

Four candidates for the Chyst township council in the Maladzechna district are at the same time the members of the local electoral commissions. One of the candidate is a chairwoman of the electoral commission, Euroradio was told by Uladzimir Zvernik, a member of the United Civic Party who is also running for the same council. Only this morning this 'coincidence' was noticed by Zvernik and his trustees. Under Article 68 in the Electoral Code, candidates are banned from entering electoral commissions. Therefore, the UCP activist filed complaints with the local office of the prosecutor and the Central Election Commission. He demanded to recognize the elections here as illegitimate.
